# 关于翻译

### 动机

Q: 人民邮电出版社已经有了中文第六版的[出版计划](https://www.ituring.com.cn/book/2632/)，为什么还要翻译一遍？

A:  翻译的过程能帮助我们集中注意力，去理解作者表达的意图。能够更深入地掌握书中的技术要点。

### 如何翻译

这本书被称为计算机体系结构领域的“圣经”。作为考研的时候半路跨考的CS从业人员，翻译这样一本煌煌巨著难度可想而知。好在由于近几年机器翻译技术在大数据和深度学习的驱动下实现了突破性的进展，我们可以借助机器翻译来做一次粗粒度的翻译。然后由人工进行润色：调整语序，替换专业术语和修改汉语表达不通顺的语句等。本文翻译使用了 [deepl.com](https://www.deepl.com/) 提供的在线翻译服务。经测试，它在简单的语句翻译上能够做到基本通畅。
